Q: Why use a 100L Single Point mill instead of a Long Tap? A: Taps often break in deep holes due to chip clogging. A single point mill uses helical interpolation, allowing chips to be easily flushed out by coolant, making it much safer for expensive workpieces.
Q: Can I use this M6 tool to cut an M10 thread? A: Yes! That is the advantage of single point mills. As long as the thread pitch and angle (60°) are compatible, a smaller tool can machine a larger diameter thread.
Q: How do I handle vibration with the 100L extra-long shank? A: We recommend using high-precision G2.5 tool holders and ensuring minimum tool runout. If vibration occurs, slightly decrease the RPM or the radial depth of cut.
